Michelle McAdams, Principal

Mrs. Michelle McAdams

Welcome Wranglers! I am so excited for the upcoming school year as your  Principal at Kay Granger Elementary.  I have been a  part of the Granger  family and community for 8 years!

I graduated from Texas State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. I began my teaching career with Irving ISD in 1994 where I taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. In 1999, I earned a Master's Degree in Education Administration from Texas Woman's University. I served as an Assistant Principal for 6 years at T.J. Lee Elementary and  an Instructional Specialist for 6 years at Brown and Stipes Elementary. We moved to Saratoga 8 years ago specifically for our children to attend Northwest ISD.  I was hired by Ms. Etheredge to teach 4th grade at Granger in 2011 and loved every second in the classroom.    This is my 22nd year in education and I'm looking forward to another amazing school year.

I have two children that attend Northwest ISD. My son, Marshall is a sophomore at Eaton High School. He is on the tennis team, plays the saxophone in the band, and is attending the business academy. My daughter, Isabella is a seventh grader at Tidwell Middle School. She is also playing the saxophone in the band and dances competitively with Studio One in Keller. My husband, Aaron is also an educator and works for Dallas ISD.

My job as a Principal  is to provide your children with a safe learning environment in which they can achieve their highest potential both academically and socially.  At Granger we provide your children with a differentiated, enriching, and challenging education which prepares them for college as well as  how to become productive members of our community. In order for our students to achieve all that they can, we are asking you to be an active participant in your child's education. We know together we can prepare our children for the future.
